vicexstudios_foodtruck – Grand RP Style Foodtruck Job

vicexstudios_foodtruck brings a full Grand RP style foodtruck job to your city: a dedicated job with deposit fee, government taxes, a persistent foodtruck vehicle, NUI job panel and a dynamic sales system with price categories and shared profit.

Players rent a truck, set up a sales point anywhere on the map and sell food and drinks while the system automatically splits income between the owner and the state.

Core Features

Grand RP Style Foodtruck Panel

The job menu uses a two-card NUI layout with a large title bar, tax / cost blocks on the right and a second card for requirements and job description, directly inspired by Grand RP’s job UI. All texts are fully configurable via Config.UI_Locales.

Dedicated Foodtruck Job

The script creates a dedicated foodtruck job with its own label and grade. Players pay a configurable deposit to accept the job, and a truck spawns at the defined spawn point. Quitting the job automatically despawns the truck and resets the job.

Free Placement Sales Point

After renting the truck, the player can drive anywhere and set up a buy marker around the truck. A world marker and 3D text appear, and customers can interact to purchase food and drinks using the dialog-based menu.

Configurable Price Categories

Define multiple price categories (cheap, medium, expensive) in Config.PriceCategories, each with its own list of items and prices. The owner selects a category when setting up the truck and the customer menu is built dynamically from that configuration.

Owner Profit and Government Tax

Every purchase is automatically split: a percentage goes to the truck owner (deposit recovery and profit), and the rest is sent to a configurable tax job (for example, government) via esx_society. Percentages and target job are set in config.lua.

Grand RP Style Dialog for Setup and Buy

The script uses vicexstudios_dialog for menu interactions, giving you a clean dialog-based interface when setting up the truck or buying food. Categories and item lists are rendered like a Grand RP style selection dialog.

Technical Features and Economy

ESX Native Implementation: Uses es_extended shared object, ESX jobs, accounts and inventory. The job is created automatically if it does not exist.
oxmysql Database Integration: A dedicated foodtrucks table stores plate, owner identifier, active state, position and items for persistent trucks.
Inventory Bridge: inventory.lua adds a robust bridge for ESX inventory and ox_inventory with item existence checks and debug output.
Truck Persistence: When a foodtruck is registered, its plate and owner are saved; on player reconnect the system can spawn a truck with the same plate for that owner.
Automatic Deactivation: If the truck moves too far away from the setup location, the sales marker and menu are automatically disabled to prevent abuse.

UI, TextUI and Notification Integration

Grand RP inspired NUI: Background image, dark card layout, badge-style requirements and a highlighted call-to-action button, built to look like a serious job panel.
TextUI Bridge: Choose between ESX help text, vicexstudios_textui or vicexstudios_hudv3 for interaction prompts.
Notification Bridge: Use ESX notifications, vicexstudios_notification or vicexstudios_hudv3 for all job, buy and error messages.
ESC Handling: The NUI can be closed via the button or the ESC key, both handled cleanly via NUI callbacks.

FiveM server with ESX (es_extended) installed.
oxmysql configured and running for database access.
vicexstudios_dialog resource for Grand RP style dialog menus.
Optional: vicexstudios_textui, vicexstudios_hudv3 and vicexstudios_notification for full ecosystem integration.

Installation Overview

Place the vicexstudios_foodtruck folder into your resources directory.
Import the included sql.sql into your database to create the job and foodtruck table.
Configure config.lua:
- text UI and notification type
- tax percentages, owner cut and tax job
- price categories and items
- job and spawn coordinates
Add the resource to your server configuration:

Restart the server, go to the defined job location and open the Foodtruck panel.
